Start Your Day Right With This Lemon Date Smoothie
This smoothie a perfect breakfast, filled with complex carbs to keep you fueled throughout the day and fiber to promote digestion. Dates, banana and lemon are the perfect combination. Lemon helps keep it from being too sweet, and the banana makes it smooth and creamy.
Lemon Date Smoothie
Makes 3-4 glasses
- 6-8 large soft dates, pitted
- ¼ cup water
- 2 bananas
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 4-5 ice cubes
In a blender, blend together the dates, water and lemon juice until a smooth consistency is formed. Add the bananas and ice (optional) and blend again for 2 minutes until the smoothie is well combined. If didn’t add ice to the blender, you can drop a few cubes into a glass and pour the smoothie on top before you serve.
