The sweet, citrusy, refreshing properties of mojitos have made them a classic summer drink. They’re great because they allow for the inclusion of other fruit flavors and incorporate fresh ingredient, some of which you can even grow yourself. Here’s a very simple and extra delicious mojito recipe from the Huffington Post that will leave you satisfied every time.
Sparkling Mojito Recipe
- ½ lime cut into 4 pieces
- ¼ cup fresh mint leaves torn, plus a sprig for garnish
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ¼ cup or 2 ounces white rum
- ½ cup chilled club soda
Muddle the pieces of lime, mint leaves and sugar in a tall glass until the sugar has dissolved. Add ice then stir in the rum and club soda. Finish with a mint sprig on top and serve.
