Wild-Caught Salmon from Sea to Table
At Plated, we use locally sourced and seasonal produce whenever possible and source our meats from local, family-owned purveyors. So many foods have unpronounceable preservatives and hard-to-spell additives that we’d rather not dabble with, so we love to partner with responsible companies like Sea to Table to make sure we are sending you the freshest, high-quality ingredients.
Based out of Brooklyn, NY, Sea to Table’s mission is preserving fishing communities by expanding their market and connecting them directly to consumers. This honest, direct, pay-it-forward business model cuts out the middle man, allowing fishermen to thrive in the market and giving chefs (that’s you!) confidence that the ingredients they are cooking with are top quality.
This week we are serving up Sea to Table’s wild-caught sockeye salmon from Bristol Bay, Alaska. Check out the video below to learn more about what’s happening in this unique fishing community.
