Pomegranate-Yogurt Chicken

In this dish by Jesse Friedman, the star of the show is pomegranate molasses. Found across the Middle East and the Caucasus, it’s like ketchup’s tangier, richer, sweeter, more exotic cousin. We use it in salad dressings, as a tart dip to accompany lamb, a mix- in with lemonade, and, as shown here, in marinades. This easy chicken recipe is accompanied by basmati rice and a cucumber relish.
