Breakfast Year in Review: How We Cooked Eggs in 2014

Making eggs is like preparing coffee, cooking steak, or tying your shoes—everyone has a particular way they like to do it.

Looking at the top Google searches, we can glean some info about how people needed help making their eggs this year. And we’ve put the top five in one place.

1. Deviled eggs

Deviled eggs won by a long shot, comprising almost half of all relevant searches. We were all about deviled eggs, too, so we made a YouTube video in April showing how to make them.

2. Scotch eggs

This snack is as much sausage as it is eggs. In other words, you should make it immediately.

3. Scrambled eggs

Scrambled eggs are the gateway eggs. You can do so many things with them. But first you must learn the art of the scramble.

4. Pickled eggs

After you learn how to boil eggs in the next step, you can peel off the shell, and submerge the eggs in vinegar, salt, spices, or other seasonings.

5. Boiled eggs

Boil eggs perfectly, halve them, and put them in a salad for a quick protein hit.
